Vector Motors was an American supercar manufacturer, founded in 1971 by Gerald Wiegert in Los Angeles, California. The company aimed to create the first true American exotic supercar, competing with European brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini.

The most famous model was the Vector W8, introduced in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, it produced over 600 horsepower and could reach speeds above 200 mph. The car featured an angular, futuristic design and aerospace-inspired technology.

Despite its ambition and hype, Vector faced financial difficulties and production issues. Only a handful of cars were ever built, making them extremely rare. In the 1990s, the company was taken over by Megatech (then-owner of Lamborghini), but attempts to revive the brand never reached mass production.
